Dr. Erin Runté
Erin graduated from the University of Waterloo Doctor of Optometry program after completing her Master's of Optometry at Aston University and a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology & Immunology at Dalhousie University. She is now licensed in both the UK and Canada as an optometrist. During her externships she completed placements at a primary care clinic in Guelph and an ophthalmology clinic in Brantford that had an emphasis on cataract surgery and glaucoma management as well as seeing emergency patients on call. Erin has always been passionate about eyes and has been wanting to pursue a career in optometry since she got her first pair of glasses at age 7. She is passionate about myopia control, being a very nearsighted person herself, and she is interested in continuing her education and learning all about the new myopia control technologies.

Erin is originally from Guelph and has lived in both Nova Scotia and across the UK before settling in Kingston with her husband and my golden retriever Cabot. In her spare time Erin enjoys running, gardening, knitting, crocheting, and doing obedience and agility classes with Cabot. Her favourite local businesses are Toast & Jam, Northside Espresso, and Luv-A-K9.
